The theme of this mural was the important things of Taos as perceived by the 6th and 7th graders and the occasional 8th grade student passing by. What is interesting in this mural is that the important things depicted cultural differences amongst the children. For example, Blue Lake was an important element for the students from the Taos Pueblo. Also depicted in this mural is a pine tree that was donated to the town of Toas by the Taos Pueblo as a symbol of cooperation amongst the different cultures living in the area. At the bottom of this mural are 17 daisies in memory of the victims of the Parkland shooting that happened during this time.
